How do I activate my Tennessee Way2Go Card?

To activate your Tennessee Way2Go Unemployment Card by Debit MasterCard® and start receiving your unemployment insurance (UI) payments, call the toll-free phone number at 855-462-5887. Activate your Way to Go Card by creating a 4-digit Personal Identification Number (PIN) for your TN Way2Go Card.

To create your 4-digit PIN, you will be asked to provide:

  • Tennessee Way2Go Debit MasterCard® Number
  • Last 4-digits of your Social Security Number (SSN)
  • Date of Birth (MM/DD/YYYY)

Once complete, you will be asked to select your four (4) digit Personal Identification Number (PIN). You will be asked to enter your PIN a second time for verification.

Tennessee Unemployment Benefits Payment Schedule

Your Tennessee Unemployment benefits will be available on your TN Way2Go Debit MasterCard® account within 48 hours of the payable week approved by the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development (TDLWD). Please note that you MUST certify your unemployment benefits each week in order to have them added to your TN Way2Go Card.

The Tennessee Way2Go Unemployment Debit MasterCard® provides two (2) FREE out-of-network ATM Cash Withdrawals each month. After that, you will be charged a $0.35 fee for each cash withdrawal.

Way2Go Card Tennessee Expiration

The Way2Go Card Tennessee by Debit MasterCard® is good for three (3) years. If your card is about to expire, a new Tennessee Unemployment Debit MasterCard® will be mailed out to you approximately 30-days before the Expiration Date listed on your card.

If your mailing address has changed since your card was issued, call the Customer Service hotline at 855-462-5887 or login your Tennessee Unemployment Card Way2Go online account to update your mailing address. Your new TN Way2Go Card cannot be forwarded to your new address. If they do not have your correct address, you may experience delays in receiving your unemployment benefit payments.
